Response #2

For this week please add the title of the book and the page you are on to your post. Make sure to answer the question and to defend your opinion. In defending your opinion you are to give me examples from your book. In answering the question think about how the author writes....does he or she write so that the reader believes what they are reading? For instance, I recently read a fiction book titled "Dead as a Doornail". It is a humorous book about vampires and the author writes wonderfully. Her descriptions of the characters and the setting make the reader really believe what she is saying.

Here are is the response for this week:

Describe what was either believable or unbelievable about your reading.
Defend your opinion.

Hey Mrs.Reed
I'm reading the book called A Child Called It. It's really a nice book I just started reading it. The Author writes very great from what I've done read. The book is believable about how the mother gets angry but how she handles it.
This book is real life situations, what some people go through. The unbelievable part is how some one can get so angry and abuse your child for the littles things.

mrs. reed,
i am reaing the book called the water is wide. the authors writing style is very believable. mr. conroy moves to yamacraw island to teach kids that hardly know how to read and write. mr conroy told the students to write their names and they just stared at him like he was crazy.

Hey Mrs.Reed
Im reading Gossip Girls- you're the one that I want. It's a good book so far and it's pretty much believeable because it's a high school drama. It's believeable when the seniors are waiting to get acceptance letters from colleges and only some of the people get in and some don't. Some get accepted to all and some get accepted to one and wait listed. every part of this book is believeable because it is in a realistic world about realistic people and about realistic colleges and maybe even high schools. The author has a realistic field to this book.

I'm reading gossip girl-nothing can keep us together its pretty much realistic because its all the stuff us teens do these days. The author is amazing at writing these books because its fiction but yet we have alot of gossipers in our school world today.I'm actually skipping around not going in order but they are still awesome. It's unbelievable on how these books are so interesting they're my favorite books i guess they relate to me more then any other book i've read.

It talks about a teacher and how she teachs about hell and it's weird. Then it goes to talking about a girl that her and her dad don't really talk any more cause she is growing up. but that is as far as I have gotten will up date soon.

Hey Mrs.Reed.
The book I am reading is still Eragon. I really enjoy so far. Right now I am kind of bored because it discuses how he is training before he really becomes a rider. So it is a little boring reading about his training everyday. I can't wait to read farther into it though.

I'm reading a book called "A Seperate Peace". It's a very beleivable book because there aren't any fictional situations in this story that I have encountered but there are many realistic siuations in this book. Such as jumping out of trees, or ditching school and going to the beach. They may be dumb situations, but they can really happen.

hey Mrs.Reed i just got done reading A CHILD CALLED IT.That is a great book it keep you going at all times .But it makes you thimk at times that some of the stuff they say it's real .Because you would never want anyone to go throw allk the pain they say this little boy david went throw. I would never think that anyone mother would treat them like that .I uess it's just wishful thinking that no one would treat there child like that but i guess theres mean and hatful peopler like that out there in the world.

Dear ms. Reed,

I have finished my book called The Big Bug. My book was unbelievable because a teenage boy turned into a GIANT bug. He started to crawl on the walls in his room. He left brown marks where ever he crawled. Also it was unbelievable cause the boy was 15 and he worked for the family. He made all the money for them.

Dear Ms. Reed,
I have just finished reading my book called Bones and the chisholm trail. The book was alright but i would like to find a more interesting book to read. My book was unbelievable becaude all of the events in the book are not really real. But, the part of the the book that is believable is that all the characters have real names of people that were living during the western age even though the book was published in 1995.

Mrs. Reed

Its your main man Sizemore and I am just starting the book A Child Called It! I'm on page 8 and so far in the book I find it unbelievable that a mother could actually do all that cruelty to a child of her own. Then again I think about it and believe it happening in the real world and its a crime shame that children allow themselves to go through the punishment of abuse.

Hey Mrs.Reed
I am reading a series of books that is called "Cirque Du Freak". It has 11 books in all i have read 6 of them. I finish these books in like two days. They are really unbelievable. The author writes about vampires and half vampires and all these different trials they have to do to pass. The reason why i finish them so quickly is because once you start reading u can never take your face out. Well that is only if you like horror and vampire books if so then this is a good book to read.

HEY MRS.REED,
I AM STILL RADING "OUT OF WAR" I AM ALMOST DONE WITH IT. BUT ANYWAYS THE PART TO ME WHERE IT WAS HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE WAS ON PG.23 WHERE IT TALKED ABOUT THE ARMED GUYS KILLING A MAN IN FRONT OF HIS FAMILY INCLUDING HIS FOUR YEAR OLD DAUGHTER. TO ME THAT IS VERY CRUEL AND THAT'S WHY THERE IS SO MANY PEOPLE IN COLOMBIA THAT ARE HURT REALLY BAD EMOTIONALLY. THE AUTHOR OF THIS BOOK HELPS ME PICTURE EVERY SCENE THAT IS GOING ON IN THE BOOK. SHE IS VERY DETAILED. WELL THATS IT FOR THIS WEEK. TAKE CARE AND SEE YOU IN CLASS. GOD BLESS!!! :)

Hey Ms Reed i am reading the Muhammad Ali book. So far it is a good book and very believable just because the fights really happened and the boxers in the story are real. The author uses a phrase "float like a butterfly, sting like a bee" which you still hear some boxers say today. I can't remember the two boxers names but one guy keeps wining and at the blink of a eye he lost the world title to a younger kid that is not very experienced.

Mrs.Reed,
I am reading Eragon and I am on page 285. I can't wait to find out more what happens into this book. Right now I am at the part where Eragon's best friend has died now and he has to go on his own with his new friend Murtah. He is now on his own and hoping to defeat the Ra'zac.
